Cecil Wayne “Pappy” Beer 80, of Rt. 646 Gifford, PA

Cecil Wayne “Pappy” Beer 80, of Rt. 646 Gifford, PA went to be with his Lord on Thursday October 3, 2013 at his residence, with his loving family by his side.

Born August 9, 1933 in Kittanning he was a son of John and Zelma (Brumbaugh) Beer.

He worked at the Quaker State Refinery in Farmers Valley for 38 years. Later he worked at Fairway Ford in Bradford retiring in 2012 because of health reasons.

He was a member and Past President of the Hilltop Lions Club, member of the Eagles Club #2432 in Bradford. He enjoyed riding his Harley Motorcycle and going on dice runs. For the last six years he volunteered and helped out at the Kids for Cancer Ride, which meant a lot to him.

Surviving is his wife, Sandra (Wyant) Beer, one son, Thomas (Jessie) Beer in VA, two daughters, Amy (Mike Livergood) Otto of NY and Tina (Ed) Hallock of Lantz Corners, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, one brother Joe (Viv) Beer of Elderton, one sister Kay Rosenberger of Kittanning, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Lisa Tindell, one grandson Jeffrey Judkins Jr., one sister Pat Ellenberger and one brother Larry Beer.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday October 12, 2012 at 10:00am at the Hilltop Baptist Church with the Rev. Max Simms, Pastor officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
