Concerned Citizen!

This picture was taken before 7am last week, that is former Coudersport Councilman Wayne Hathaway who can be seen picking up trash from the downtown streets any morning.   Thank You for caring, Wayne .         Lou Karija

Once had the dubious pleasure of working with Wayne-grin. I have seen him numerous times picking up litter. Much appreciated Wayne!

Thanks, but to the people he's picking up after STOP Littering. How hard is it to throw something away. Have a little respect, pride and decency.

Have some welfare people do this

10/25 @ 4:22pm, that would only open Coudersport up for costly law suits.

On a brighter note ... Thank you Wayne and others who pick up after the slobs.

Now, what are the rules and regulations in Coudersport for making a citizens arrest for breaking the PA litter law and other illegal activities?

Much thanks to Mr. Hathaway for regularly helping clean up the trash. Wouldn’t it be nice if he didn’t have to—because there wasn’t any. Some people are just slobs.

To the contributor of the photograph. Either this photo was snapped earlier in the year than “last week” or you are mistaken about the time ( or your camera still has “standard time” set—we don’t ‘fall-back’ to that until next weekend (when it will be brighter in the AM)). It has been nearly dark at 7 am for a couple weeks now. That’s when I’m walking to my truck after work every day.

Nit-picking—maybe… but why not be accurate. Would the message be lost if it said “taken before 8am” … Or if the “last week” thing was left out entirely.

My camera clock is still set wrong too… but it will again be right on November 3rd when we change all our other clocks BACK.

Thanks again Mr. Hathaway.

Remember when ...

The Rigas family kept Coudy clean, for it's townfolk?

No town should have litter. We have enough people on welfare . They should be out there every morning to pick up litter Most of them need fresh air and excerise.

Nice legs dad.

10/25 @ 11:28pm, putting people out on the streets to pick up litter will open up all kinds of law suits against Coudersport, Poter County and the State of Pennsylvania.

A great story. WE as Americans need to all take care of OUR country! Let's celebrate somebody doing something good. So much bad happens. Who cares what time it was taken he is doing something positive and unselfish!- you are nit picking. Let's be positive, supportive, and take ownership of our hometowns. WTG !

Having people who are on welfare would not put the governments at risk of lawsuits. It's already a requirement in NY that those on welfare have to participate in "Job Track" and do community service work as part of them receiving welfare. If they fail to show up, then they can lose their benefits. Same thing should be enacted in PA. If you're on welfare, do some community service. It only makes sense that the people the government pays does some actual work...maybe I should be talking to DC instead.....
