Letter To The Editor..............

Supper Reservations

From the book of Genesis to the book of Revelation everything in the Bible points to Christ. It tells us sin entered through one man, Adam and was shown the exit through another, Jesus the Christ. Jesus came to provide the way to eternal life in Heaven (John 14:6). One of his messages was to make known that man cannot save himself through the Law. Good deeds, looks, bloodlines, and community standing never saved a soul. This is why the Old Covenant was “nailed to the cross” (Col 2:13-17). Therefore, a purpose of Jesus was to establish the New Covenant of Grace, which is a choice of will.

While Jesus walked this very earth great crowds would assemble to hear him speak. Unfortunately, they would leave just as fast as they would gather. Jesus began dismissing them very quickly. To follow Jesus, you had to deny self and put him first. That dismissed about a quarter of the people. To follow Jesus, meant to pick up your cross and carry it daily. That dismissed another quarter. To follow Jesus you had to love others more than yourself and the world will hate you because of him. That dismissed another quarter only leaving one quarter out of four who willfully chose to believe who he was and his teachings.

In relation to free will the book of Revelation in the 19th chapter references two suppers. This is very tough to go through in a paragraph. I could write a 2,000 page essay on this, but like the Obamacare legislation nobody would read it to find out what’s in it. In the 19th chapter the creation, those who have been deceived into or have chosen to receive the mark of the beast have gathered at the end of the 7 year tribulation for a great battle against the creator. Most know this as the battle of Armageddon. Just prior to this there is the marriage supper, which is the first supper. The bride, who is Christ receives his bridegroom, who are the believers (saints). Right after this Jesus returns to earth on a white horse and the graphic description is in the 19th chapter. He returns to strike down the nations who have rebelled. The after math is described as kings, generals, and their horses, along with all the people lay dead on the battlefield. Then an angel cried out to all the foul (birds) in the air and told them to feast on their flesh.

I pray that you didn’t just miss the second supper. In the second supper you are the supper. The foul of the air will feast on you. I don’t know about you, but I have made a reservation with the bride at the marriage supper. Where is your reservation going to be at?

Chris Foust
P.S. Jesus never taught, “change and then you can follow me”. Jesus always taught, “follow me and you will change”.

You start with a nice idea, all of a sudden it's Obamacare and birds feasting on my flesh.

I still can't figure out why they call religious people crazy.

11:23, The letter was written with intent (maybe for the ADHD type by the ADHD type). The common theme described throughout was free will and choice (with a shot of comedy). It was about what the bible says from the beginning to middle to end summed up very, very quickly in a few short paragraphs. Many lines in the bible, especially the parables have double meanings. To translate this it means the world will take its view, which is on the surface and run with it and the other is the meaning for which the believers will be able to understand. This is why it was said in Matthew 13:10-11, "10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?” 11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Therefore, it is proven all you got from this was what you wrote about and there are others who will get something totally different. This letter was not written for the world, but for others. Just like the bible was not written for unbelievers.
Anyways, people like you who comment on Bernie's and Michelle's thoughts keep providing the substance I need (with Mr. Jones approval of course) to write my doctorate thesis one day. So I guess a thank you is in order, although I would rather see other comments.
As I always say, "it's a good thing I'm not religious because religion never saved anyone"...And I might disagree on your definition of crazy. May God's grace and love find you. CF

11:23 pm Things like this teach us to think. Unlike you when i read it i think about my family and people as a whole and what i can do for the better of the people. You on the other hand think of how to degrade people and their way of thinking.

Jesus returned to strike down the nations who have rebelled. Brilliant plan kill those who don't believe what you believe. And god kills first born children sends floods asks a man to sacrifice his son turns people to salt etc. etc. And yet he is all our father? Today fathers like that go to jail because they are abusive murdering jerks.
