Robert L. Calderwood, Sr., 96, of 103 Hemlock St., Bradford, PA

Robert L. Calderwood, Sr., 96, of 103 Hemlock St., Bradford, PA, passed away, Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Gate House Hospital in Williamsport.

Born April 20, 1917, in Brookville he was a son of the late Wilson and Margaret H. (Hopkins) Calderwood.

On October 29, 1938 in Bradford he married Lena B. (Shirey) Calderwood, who died on September 16, 2002.

Mr. Calderwood had worked as a welder at Dresser Industries for several years. He was a member of the Bradford Alliance Church were he served as treasurer, deacon, elder and usher.

Surviving is a son, Robert (Karen) Calderwood, of Bradford, 4 grandchildren James (Marsha) Calderwood, Scott (Courtney) Calderwood, Debra Calderwood and Kelly Gipson, 3 great grandchildren Kiersten Calderwood, Keaten Calderwood and McKenzie Lilly, and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two daughters, Leana Shirley Calderwood who died in 1944, and Mary Ann Fuller who died in 1975, one son William C. Calderwood, who died April 7, 2013, two brothers, William and Charles Calderwood, one sister Katherine Hughes, and one grandson Steven Calderwood who died in 1963.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, October 28, 2013, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral and committal services will be held at 2:00 pm with Rev. Kenneth Dunkerley, pastor of the Bradford Alliance Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.

Memorials if desired may be made to the Bradford Alliance Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
