The Drive Out Suicide Campaign

Drive Out Suicide Campaign

The Drive Out Suicide Campaign has reached Potter County. This prevention awareness campaign is being sponsored by the PA Adult/Older Adult Suicide Prevention Coalition of Pennsylvania.

Those who are willing attach a window cling to the back of their car and hand out post cards with information about warning signs of suicide and what to do if you or someone you know is thinking about suicide. The back of the card displays the message “there is hope”. “Stop Suicide Now”.

The card also lists the national crisis hotline 1-800-273 TALK (press 1 for veterans). Locally people can also call crisis services at 814-274-8729 and after hours 1-800-652-0562.

Thank you for this! It is so important to know that there are places to go, and people to call to help. It is important for people to know that it is ok to ask for help and to know that they are NOT alone!
