Veda "Dian" Lewis
Veda "Dian" Lewis, 75, of Broad Street, Port Allegany, PA, passed away Friday (Nov. 15, 2013) in the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre while surrounded by loving family.

Born December 12, 1937 in Evanston, IL, she was the daughter of Charles and Helen Boddy. On February 10, 1973, she married Richard P. Lewis who survives. 

Veda was a graduate of Amundsen High School in Chicago, IL. She ran Dian’s What Knots and then the Blessing Room. She attended the First Baptist Church of Port Allegany, PA and was a member of the Port Allegany Fire Department’s auxiliary. 

She enjoyed playing Bingo and playing games on her laptop. When she was not helping members of her community she adored spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Veda was always there for anyone who needed her. 

Surviving besides her husband are seven children, Kathleen D. LaGrange of Deltonia, FL, Gary A. (Judy) Leschner of Port Allegany, PA, Paul J. (Kathy) Leschner of Coolidge, AZ, Robert J. (Pam) Lewis of Baltimore, MD, Randall T. Lewis of Bellingham, WA, John C. (Penny) Leschner of Denver, PA, Emery C. (Patti) Lewis of Bradford, PA; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Charles and Helen Boddy and a daughter, Melinda S. Lewis.

Family and friends will be received from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday (Nov. 18, 2013) in the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Nov. 19, 2013. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
