...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON...

THE FLOOD WATCH CONTINUES FOR

* A PORTION OF NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING
AREAS...ELK...MCKEAN AND WARREN COUNTIES.

* THROUGH SUNDAY AFTERNOON.

* FORECAST HEAVY RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES...COMBINED WITH
SNOW MELT WILL SUPPORT THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING ACROSS
NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA AND THE ALLEGHENY BASIN. THE HEAVIEST
RAINFALL IS PROJECTED FROM LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY.

* CONFIDENCE IS INCREASING FOR SOME RIVER AND STREAM LEVELS TO
EXCEED FLOOD STAGE IN THE ALLEGHENY BASIN...APPROACHING
MODERATE TO EVEN MAJOR FLOOD LEVELS. FLOODING MAY CAUSE ROAD
CLOSURES ESPECIALLY IN LOW-LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS....

The National Weather Service in State College has expanded the

* Flood Watch to include a portion of northern Pennsylvania...
including the following areas... Cameron... Potter and Tioga
counties.

* Through Sunday afternoon.

* Forecast heavy rainfall in excess of 2 inches... combined with
snow melt will support the potential for flooding across the
area. The heaviest rainfall is projected from late tonight into
early Sunday.

* The potential exists for some river and stream levels to exceed
flood stage. Flooding may cause Road closures especially in low-
lying and poor drainage areas.
