Its a shame that companies feel that they have to take shortcuts in order to make money. Its companies like this that give the whole industry a bad name and the enviromentalists the ammunition to shut them down. Its doubly a shame that this company originates in our own backyard.

This company sure in the news in recent months. Greed sure can do things to people. Wouldn't it be nice if they quit doing things the wrong way and use that fine money to help others.

I'm sure your both unemployed and uneducated morons looking for a hand get a life

Oh no not even close. US ARMY vet college educated. Very employed. Pay my bills , take care of my family. Just because people want to see things done for good does not mean we are morons.

This company is always contributing to the community. Whether it be for donations for supporting the local Fire department, Swedish Festival, food bank, golf outing for Kane Community Hospital, Kids Shoot, Fishing for Kids in Hazel Hurst, and donating equipment to run the pump at the water plant when the tank went dry while the residents had no water, and snow removal at the Ambulance garage. Not to mention the good paying jobs that provide health insurance and a profit sharing plan for it's employees. This community needs more independent business and less government. I would hardly stereotype them as Greedy. Sadly, my job used to be productive, now I am occupied with complying with DEP regulation.

No matter what people say they did something wrong and continue to. Yes people make mistakes but you learn from them. Sure they give good jobs to people with benefits and we need that in this area. No one disputes that. But remember there are 2 sides to every story and not everyone knows all sides of this company.

For all you know this violation could be as simple as a seeping valve on a frac/storage tank or water truck. The DEP are always going around checking locations and writing violations for little things just to justify there job. So until you know the whole story no need to comment.

Must have touched a nerve with someone. Too close to home for you?

What was leaked out of this tank was due to a faulty valve and analyzed by the DEP, their findings indicated levels of calcium and sodium indicative of brine water, exactly what the PA DOT spreads on our public roadways to melt ice and snow and what consumers buy to spread on our drive ways and sidewalks. Don’t believe everything the press publishes, the press loves to print anything bad and never seems to publish anything that's positive. If all the liberal environmentalist are that concerned about our environment, shut off the gas and electric to your houses, sell your cars, the roads we drive on are asphalt (another by-product of crude oil), no makeup, no propane grills, no frozen food that’s packing with paraffin wax, & no milk(all packaged in plastic or paraffin wax used on cartons). What would our lives be like if we had no energy? Think about it people, I am glad I had Natural Gas to heat my house this morning at -15 degrees.
