The Galeton Rotary Club met at the Ox Yoke Inn on Thursday, January 16 with club president Doug Reeves presiding.

B.J. Lowther was in charge of the program. He presented Dr. Pete Ryan and Dave Saulter, both from Coudersport. They spoke about Trout Unlimited's program , Project Healing Waters. This very worthwhile effort of Trout Unlimited focuses on vets with some combat related issues that they encountered while serving our country in VietNam and Iraq/Afganistan.

15 vets from Buffalo/Rochester areas are brought to Coudersport and honored with an escort and parade. They are bused to First Fork Lodge in Costello where they are lodged and treated to a three day stay with lodging and meals provided at no cost to them.

They are shown how to tie flies and fly fish in Big Moores Run. An excellent DVD was shown and it was obvious all were having a great time.

Trout Unlimited pays all expenses for this very worthwhile project. The total cost is over $11,000.

The Galeton Club was privileged to have Pete and Dave as our guests..

Next week George Bowen is in charge of the program.
