As a taxpayer in the Northern Potter School District I want to urge the school board and the administration to disassociate our public school district and tax dollars from the Assemblies of God right-wing Christian organization that masks itself as "Teen Challenge." Do your homework. Teen Challenge has nothing to do with Teens. And as for Challenge, the challenge for the Assemblies of God extremists is to slip in between the cracks and exploit those uneducated public institutions that do not realize they are going way over the church/state line by official acceptance and promotion of this organization. Our school district could be in real trouble for this if anyone raises the issue in the courts. We are very much exposed. Mr. Graham you are a smart and educated man so I ask you to do a little research on the Assemblies of God and its operation of Teen Challenge to recruit. Thank you!

While 9:15 makes some good points I think Teen Challenge does have a place for those vulnerable victims of addiction who want to turn over their lives to the healing power of Jesus Christ. My own education in counseling has taught me that real treatment and recovery are preferred options for most, but if the Christian path works for some, then praise the Lord! I agree with 9:15 that a school district should recognize this support of a Christian organization is unconstitutional. But that does not mean Adult Challenge (I agree, lose the "Teen" part) doesn't have merit.

Why in the heck is a County Commissioner promoting this in her official county capacity? That is just wrong. Get the government out of our religious lives. Government, know your place. This belongs with churches and the Christian evangelical brotherhood/sisterhood.

You gotta be kidding me?! I thought there was some medical and professional competence in Potter County's approach to addiction? Now I see this. Are we also teaching Adam and Eve in the high school science class? Like the first person here I do NOT WANT MY TAX DOLLARS GOING TO THIS COME TO JESUS AND SEND MONEY TO THE CHURCH SCHEME!

Did the School Board approve this group setting up to recruit for this religious indoctrination at Northern Potter High School? This is an embarrassment to our school district. We have spent a lot of time and money with things we can be proud of like technology and agriculture so why do we soil our reputation like this? Can someone who supports this explain why the constitution does not apply to Northern Potter School District? Please?
