PITT-BRADFORD TO HOLD CLASSES ON OSHA SAFETY REGULATIONS

BRADFORD, Pa. --The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford has planned two mini-safety seminars this summer to enhance businesses standards set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

The university’s Division of Continuing Education and Regional Development is offering these short courses for supervisors and safety directors to enhance their ability to keep their employees safe and in compliance with OSHA regulations.

The first session, Construction, will take place Feb. 11, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This course will cover elements of most construction site activities, including fall protection, electrical, ladders, aerial lifts, personal protective equipment, excavation/trenching, scaffolding safety and health training.

The second session, OSHA 2014 Mid-Year Regulatory Update, will take place April 8, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This course will focus on the regulatory agenda for the current year.

Classes are designed and provided through an alliance with the OSHA Erie Office. Both will be held in Room 200 of the Seneca Building, 2 Main St., Bradford.
