Pretty said that while this woman was suffering the Bradford Township Fire Department who was dispatched initially could only spare a few people to search. The Chief Officers and majority of members stayed in the station for a "appreciation dinner". Corydon Township had to be called in to assist and rescue woman. In fact Corydon Township Chief left the appreciation dinner to assume command while Bradford Townships Chiefs still stayed. Maybe if they would have left the station and provided more man power it would not have taken nearly 3 hrs to find this poor woman. I would like to thank Corydon Township for your assistance in the time of need of placing someone else's needs above your own. And on a side note Bradford Township had no problem responding with Chiefs and 2 engines for a rollover accident after their "appreciation dinner". Get your priorities Straight as we as residents do not appreciate the lack of professionalism regardless if your volunteer or not. You claim to be the best let's see it.

Hey 6:11PM, Have YOU ever volunteered? Have you ever been a part of ANY fire service organization? Or perhaps EMS? No? Then SHUT UP! You have no right to harass those that give up of their time to provide for the citizens of the township not only for no pay, but without any money from the township to support what they do. So shut your yap. And no, I am not a member of that organization but I have more than 30 years of emergency services background.

to whom ever made the comments about bradford township vfd not responding to the search for the lady stuck in the woods saturday night i would like to say you do not have a clue as to what you commented about. first of all bradford township vfd did respond to that call with adequate personell knowing that it was going to take corydon twonship vfd personell around 30 minutes to arrive on scene with their equipment to assist them with this search. our chief volunteered our department to assist them with this search so they could enjoy the one and only night to appreciate their members for the thousands of hours thats right i said thousands of hours they unselfishly put in each year. and i guarantee you that our chief and all our members here at corydon township vfd would do that again without hesitation, we always have and always will stand by all of our mutual aid fire departments.and we know they would do the same for us. sincerely a proud member of the corydon township vfd. p.s. maybe you should join your local vfd and be a positive contributing member of our society.

No matter what's going on I know members at BTVFD would always help the community out respectfully I've never had a problem with any of their men personally or in the class room they're professional, Even if Dan didn't respond he would make sure someone who knows what they're doing is in charge regardless I've never known them to short staff a rig, nor to answer the call.
