I-180 Work-Zone Traffic Impacts for March 24-29

I-180 Work-Zone Traffic Impacts for March 24-29

Weather permitting; the contractor working on Interstate 180 in Northumberland and Lycoming counties will have daylight work-zone traffic patterns in place next week, March 24-29.

Lane restrictions (using traffic cones) will be in effect in both directions from approximately 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, from just east of Exit 5 (Turbotville) to just west of Exit 10 (Muncy – Main Street).

The traffic patterns will be changing within the daytime hours to accommodate the varying work activities.

The contractor will be hauling rock into the median area to stockpile, installing erosion and sedimentation control measures, removing trees, placing poles for electric services and illuminating lights. Also, the contractor will be installing rock construction entrances and beginning to place pipe and rock in the temporary crossovers.

Motorists are advised to stay alert to the changing work-zone traffic patterns between Exits 5 and 10 on I-180 next week.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 680 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available by calling 5-1-1, and regional Twitter alerts are available on the 511PA website.
