Sign the "Ban the Frack Pit" Petition to help protect our water

Dear friend,
Next week I will be delivering the petition to "Ban the Frack Pit" to the Environmental Quality Board in Harrisburg and  we have well over 3400 signatures to the petition.

I want to thank all who have signed and want to remind anyone who hasn't yet signed that there is still time.

Join me this weekend as a "Weekend Warrior" in not only signing on if you haven't but also reminding friends, relatives, and colleagues to make an extra effort to sign this important petition before delivery next week.

If you would please share this link with as many as possible, together we can make a real impact:  http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/ban-the-frack-pit?mailing_id=20432&source=s.em.cr&r_by=1551804

Thank you for taking a stand on this important issue. Yours in the movement,

Everyone who is against fracking is guilty as hell. Everyone supports it by buying gasoline, heating oil, lighters, tires, motor oil, most things you buy are petroleum based or some petroleum by product was used in the manufacturing. I have my water well 100ft from my oil well and I haven't had any issues. If you are against fracking or against the local oil industry what so ever please sell your car, sell your house, and just give up. I am a local oil producer and I support my family and my community by supplying our own source of oil. So we are not getting as much from overseas. Why is that a crime? Why should our economy suffer more because you anti oil freaks are hypocrites? Frac pits are lined with a durable liner that is regulated and inspected. Get a job in the oil industry and you will see the real truth. What you won't see is all the publicized lies that the media has put the spot light on.

Guru, your comment proves you are in fact not a guru. Your oil well is a conventional well. Not one that was hydraulic fractured. The “ban-the-frack-pit” group is not against oil or petroleum products. I’m guessing they have no delusions that Fracking is going away. Their initiative is promoting environmental regulations that limit and control an otherwise out of control industry. Big Energy will always do the minimum required by law when it comes to the environment. More regulations are needed to prevent further destruction/contamination of the land and water. Thank you Ron Slabe.

"Frack pits are a source of toxic waste-waters and cancer causing agents and pollute our environment through leakage, spillage, and evaporataion of toxic VOCs, thus contaminating water, soil, and the air we breathe." A statement like that definitely needs supporting research. Is this someone's opinion? I'd like to see 1 name of someone who has or had cancer due to a frack pit.

The food that we purchase in the grocery stores contain cancer causing toxins, additives, growth hormones, etc. Fracking has been going on for several years. 99.5% of fracturing fluid is made up of water. The foods you are eating are more harmful. We use oil/gas for travel, it is in makeup, makeup removers. Whoever is against fracking is a true hypocrit!

I had stage IV cancer from second hand cigarette smoke. I bet the majority of people against fracking are smokers.

Save your Breath Oil Guru- These people are BLOOMING IDIOTS and I think most of their issue is GREED for anyone else making honest MONEY plus they are HELLBENT on CONTROLLING every part of our lives...They are too blind to see the keyboard they type on -the wires that process it even their TOLIET SEAT is from the GAS/OIL Industry...They better HOPE you FRACK 24/7 to get enough natural GAS to make up for what COAL POWERED Electric POWER Plants that our potus is CLOSING DOWN...Everyone is in DEEP TROUBLE when that happens...MOST of the POLLUTION at this point is comming from above but they are too smug to figure it out.[HAARP-Geoengineering-Weather modification-Chem Trails] OUR GOVERNMENT IS SILENTLY KILLING US and they are worried about FRACKING !!!

Mr. Slabe,

As you are obviously unaware, the vast majority of non-conventional operators no longer have pits vying instead to use closed loop systems. In fact, most pits are used by the conventional operators like the oil guru so he probably does have an intricate knowledge of this process.

You indicate more regulation is required in Pennsylvania. This state is by far the most regulated of any in the industry. The comment of "big oil will always do the minimum required by law" is a rather slanderous and nonfactual in nature. You are doing nothing more than passing off your opinion as conjecture.

I can guarantee half of those people who signed that petition don't even know what a frac pit is. That's the problem with these people. They complain because everything has gone to shit. And then they want more and more regulation which is killing our economy by the minute. We as Americans have a chance to be less dependent on foreign oil. The oil and gas boom as sky rocketed in the last four years all over the us. Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, Alaska, its all over. Take a stand against these anti frac maggots. Go to you town meetings. Go to your legislators. Send letters. Be the Americans you are supposed to be and stand up for our economy. Support the local oil and gas industry. Not the foreign industry. There is absolutely nothing wrong with hydrofracing a well. I have seen 100s of wells being fracked. and not one leak. Why make lies when 99% of the local oil producers will tell you the truth? All you are doing is hurting our economy more.

9:50 you might of seen a hundred wells Fracked but what happens to the ones that there water is ruined and the gas company fights it tooth an nail just so they don't have to fix what they have caused.. Why? Not all Fracking is without flaws.. NOTHING IS.. So why do they do everything in there power to deny..
