Spring Has Sprung! Bird Walk at Sinnemahoning State Park

Spring Has Sprung! Bird Walk at Sinnemahoning State Park

Sinnemahoning – Celebrate the arrival of spring with a bird walk at Sinnemahoning State Park.

Despite the lingering snow and the below average temps this year, the spring winged migrants are making their way north to their summer homes.

Join Mark Johnson from the Allegheny Highlands Bird Club on a lakeside stroll in search of songbirds and waterfowl along the George B. Stevenson Dam.

Participants should dress for the weather, wear boots or sturdy shoes, and carry water. Bring your own binoculars and field guides or borrow ours.

Program will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Meet at the Sinnemahoning State Park Lake Day Use Area

Get out and enjoy the spring!

For more information, please call the Sinnemahoning State Park Office and Wildlife Center at 814-647-8401.

Additional details can be found at; click on “Events Calendar” on the left and Select Facility “Sinnemahoning State Park”.

I followed the instructions and could only find info on a winter equipment loaner program. Nothing on the birding program.
