 Meeting called to order by Joe Neal.

***PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE***

Minutes from previous meeting 11 Mar. 2014 REVIEWED.
Motion Made by Joe Neal, 2nd by Mitch Gross to accept as read-Yea vote.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Residents concern about possible health hazard of corn located on corner of Route 44 and Powerhouse Road. Supervisors will communicate with land owner.
Resident concerned about water flowing in field. Supervisor will look into issue.
Resident was concerned over standing water on end of Jander Run, concern was addressed at meeting.

OLD BUSINESS:
Folder of requested paperwork provided to Ms Wildner.
Still looking for used tractor.

NEW BUSINESS:
(Repeat last comment) Newsletter for Township will come out with fall taxes. Advance copies available at township building, please pass on information.
Trash days for CERES TWP residents are, 16-17 May 2014 8:00am-4:00pm, please ensure all items are in dumpsters. Secretary to run ad in Money Saver with list of acceptable and unacceptable items.
(Repeat last comment) Once again, we will mention ditching/berming of roads, we have had numerous calls with residents wanting fill (names and numbers recorded at TWP office) and we will accept and try to accommodate all requests. If you have friends or family with camps/property in CERES TWP please pass the word. Hopefully we can start early April, residents interested in receiving material who have not yet, please contact 814-697-6948 with name, phone number and we will contact you on location for material about mid-March. Please keep in mind, terrain to get to where you want material plays a big factor (soft ground/rainy weather). We will go above and beyond to do what we can.
Solomon’s Words must work, with the number of phone calls we receive regarding requests for Ceres Township resident concerns.
Special thanks to Eldred and Otto Township Secretaries for helping our secretary with reports and other information.
Special thanks to Bill Wilson for calling and giving us a heads up on a clogged pipe.
All three supervisors, Joe Neal, Mitch Gross, and Jeff Moyer agree to increase Secretaries pay due to time required for training and actual hours worked. New hours are as follow: M 9:00 am-12:00 pm, T 1:00-4:00 pm, W 10:00 am-12:00 pm, T 1:00-3:00 pm, F 12:00-3:00 pm. Above hours, secretary will be available at the building. Supervisors agreed to increase secretary’s hours to 32 hours per week until June.
Talked to Money Saver and they are running our ad monthly about meeting dates and times. Will try and run monthly two weeks prior as long as it stays running as free.

PERMITS:
Permit obtained from Rocky Rhodes to install small porch with handicap accessible on School Street.
Permit obtained from Verizon to install a cell tower above Sun Valley Road.

SUPERVISORS COMMENTS:
Limbing of trees has started and will continue as weather and workload permits.
Blacktop pot holes patched at this time.
Two supervisors are scheduled for Dirt and Gravel class, so when and if grant money comes available we could apply.
Residents who have shown an interest in receiving ditching/berming material will be contacted within next couple weeks.
Adopt dumping letter.
Accept new Bonding Ordinance #30.
Going to 4 – 10 hour days starting within April, work Fridays on a case by case needs.
All three supervisors Joe Neal, Mitch Gross and Jeff Moyer agree that it is necessary to purchase a vehicle (pickup) for the Township through COSTARS.
Supervisors Joe Neal and Jeff Moyer agree that Mitch Gross has the authority to sign truck finance paperwork in the best interest of Ceres Township. 

Bills REVIEWED. Motion by Joe Neal, 2nd by Jeff Moyer to pay bills.

Next meeting will be at 6:00 pm on May 13, 2014
