Kenneth G. Whitney, 78, a longtime resident of Roulette, PA passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Wellsboro, PA, after a long illness.

Born May 2, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of Lester C. and Emily Paton Whitney. On September 9, 1958 in Landstuhl, Germany, he married Anni H. Klemm, who died on May 29, 2006.

Kenneth was a graduate of North Arlington High School, Class of 1953 and attended Fairleigh Dickinson College in Rutherford, NJ.

Mr. Whitney served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Airman First Class. He was employed by Western Electric as an associate electrical engineer in Newark, NJ. He continued his education in electrical engineering while working for Western Electric which became A T & T Technologies from where he retired in 1969.

He was a resident of Roulette since 1969. Ken was a member and former trustee of the Fishing Creek United Methodist Church in Roulette. He was a life member of the NRA and a life member of the North American Hunting Club. He was a member of American Legion Post 126 in Staten Island, NY, a member of the Law Enforcement Alliance of America, a member of the Second Amendment Foundation, and a member of the Wildlife Forever Association. He loved to hunt and fish.
 Mr. Whitney attained the rank of Eagle Scout and later served as a cub master in Roulette.

Surviving are a sister, Helen W. Hall of Little Falls, NJ; a niece; a nephew; and five grandnieces and grandnephews.

There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
