Spud Growers FFA Sponsor First Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Spud Growers FFA sponsored their first annual Easter Egg Hunt, Sunday, April 13th. The event, held at Mitchell Park, was crowded with nearly 300 parents, grandparents, and egg hunters. The FFA had 3 groups of hunters divided by age.

FFA officers and helpers directed the young egg hunters to find over 700 eggs. Jenna Gabreski, Senior and FFA President said, “It was a successful event. We planned on 100, but prepared for 200.” The chapter had over 150 register, and handed out more than 20 prizes to the egg hunters.

FFA Advisor, Mrs. Emily Kellogg said she would like to thank everyone who attended this year’s community event, as well as Haskins Photography for taking photographs and bringing the Easter Bunny. She said, “The students enjoyed the opportunity to work with younger children, and look forward to sponsoring the Easter Egg Hunt again next year.”
