Structure Fire On Jo Jo Road

Wednesday in the earlier morning hours McKean 5 was alerted by McKean County 911, for a possible Structure fire at 105 Jo Jo rd. When Chief 5 responded, 911 advised chief that the caller state smoke and flames are showing. Upon Chief 5 arrival he advised heavy smoke and flames showing. Engine 56 was first out the door and took the address and pulled 1 3/4 attack line. Engine 58 was next due and grabbed the hydrant and supplied E-56. Engine 57 was next due and that crew laddered the building, and made a vent hole in the roof. Rescue 51 also responded and set up its cascade for a filling station for the air bottles. Station 5 crews had the fire under control in about 30 minutes. Station 10 Mt. Jewett was alerted to transfer 1 engine to Station 5 for stand by. Ambulance 5 and PSP assisted crews at the scene. Units were returning around 08:30 and all units were in service around 09:15 .
