Ladona Plaza fire photo shared by Dan Roys
As I walk into the 48 house, I see a lot of tired men and woman from working all day yesterday then answering an alarm at 10:56pm..working one of our Famous Chicken BBQ's.

At 22:56 48 was dispatched to 519 E Second st Box 48-02-Coudersport Boro for a report of a fire/smoke in the structure, the caller reporting screaming and banging-possible entrapment. This is the building known as Ladona Plaza-which houses multiple rental housing units on the second floor with businesses on the first floor.

Less than 3 1/2 minutes later Chief 48 Phelps arrived on scene, reported some occupants were out of the structure, reported a working fire with heavy flames through the back window, roof of the complex, requested a second alarm assignment to be dispatched-Departments 3 Port Allegany, 10 Galeton, 44 Austin, 46 Roulette full company to the scene, 37 Genesee stood by at 48.

A supply line was laid from the intersection of RT 872/E Second St. (200') to 48-1. Aggressive interior attack was made through the front, ladders thrown on sides A, C. Structure was Vented/Searched(primary-Secondary-Nothing found)under the direction of assistant chief officers Tim Haskins 10 and Glenn Dunn. Tower 9 took he A/B corner and went to work on the roof. All Mutual aid companies were directed to the operation of either roof/vent/assist with attack, overhaul. with the aggressive actions of all crews the fire was brought under control at 11:23. with extensive overhaul.

Crews were on scene 'til approximately 1:26am. and all of Coudersport units were placed in service at 03:30am.

Also assisting at the scene was CVAA/Medic 6, PSP-Coudersport, Coudersport Boro Police.

The cause of the fire is being investigated at this time by this dept., Coudersport Boro Police and the PSP Fire Marshals Unit. There were no injuries, damage has not been determined at this time.

I would like to express my sincere THANK YOU to all of our Mutual Aid companies who assisted, your help and assistance is greatly appreciated.

Aint this the second time they have had to safe that house... maybe the owner should take a close look at his building before he goes renting it out.
