Coudersport Ice Mine to Reopen after 25 Years

A well-known local attraction is set to reopen over Memorial Day Weekend after more than 25 years of neglect.

The Coudersport Ice Mine closed in 1987, but is readying to reopen thanks to the dedication of its new owners, Gary and Diana Buchsen.

Countless hours of restoration work has been completed to bring the Ice Mine back to what it once was, and it looks pretty authentic to the site in its’ heyday. Read more...

Many fond memories of my childhood in the 70s. Thanks Gary for restoring it. Brings back memories of when Coudersport was a kinder and nicer place.
