Gerald J. "Mickey" Murray, 81, of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, Duncansville, PA formerly of Emporium PA and Florida died at Hollidaysburg Veterans Home on Saturday (May 3, 2014) afternoon following a lengthy illness.

He was born May 15, 1932 in Emporium, PA a son of the late Violet Bailey Minard.

Mr. Murray served with the US Navy during the Korean War He lived many years in Florida where he was a self employed businessman.

Surviving:
Aunt: Lois Rader, Emporium
Uncle: Carl "Dick" Bailey, Emporium
Several cousins and friends

Preceded in Death by:
Mother: Violet Bailey Minard

There will be No Visitation and No Services.

That's just sad that there will be no services for this veteran. I did not know him personally but as a veteran myself, I would be rather ticked off if I wasn't given the respect due my service to this nation. I hope that Barnett's at least calls in the Vets Club to do a 21 gun salute in his honor. Shame, shame on what's left of his family. RIP Mickey!
