Route 287 Bridge Replacement and Intersection Realignment Project Begins May 27

Route 287 Bridge Replacement and Intersection Realignment Project Begins May 27

A $4,201,887 bridge replacement and roadway intersection realignment project along an overall length of one mile on Route 287 and Route 6 in Delmar Township, Tioga County, is set to begin next week.

Prime contractor A.L. Blades, Inc. will replace the existing bridge over Marsh Creek. The existing intersection at Routes 287 and 6 will be realigned from a skew to 90 degrees, with widening for turning lanes and installation of a new traffic signal. Other work will include removal of the existing bridge, blacktop resurfacing, guiderail replacement, drainage improvements, rock placement, seeding, new pavement markings and signs.

This work will be performed using daylight signs and flaggers, as needed. There will be no significant traffic restrictions during this year’s construction. Next year’s construction will impact traffic significantly.

The project is scheduled to be completed by October 2015.

My goodness Blades is the slowest company going. The last 2 jobs they did in the Westfield are, they had 2 guys working on the job. Why do they keep choosing them?
