Sarah Darling Jones is participating in Animal Care Sanctuary’s (ACS) 4th annual Mutt Strut

Sarah Darling Jones is participating in Animal Care Sanctuary’s (ACS) 4th annual Mutt Strut Dog Walk & Fun Fest which will be held on May 17th from 11am-3pm in Riverfront Park in Sayre, PA. Sarah is participating in memory of Frankie Rae, her friend’s dog who recently passed away.

Sarah brings her dog Jessie to the Mutt Strut each year and she shares her Mutt Strut memories. “Jessie and Frankie were Mutt Strut walking buddies! I participate in the Mutt Strut because my biggest passion in life is animals and speaking for those animals who don't have a voice. I look forward to the Mutt Strut every spring! Not only is it a fun-filled day but it also brings community support and awareness to the ACS. I notice more and more people getting involved every year! It is so heartwarming to see so many people coming together to help animals. I remember Frankie entering the Frosty Paws contest, the owner/dog look-alike contest and of course, the tail wagging contest. He won the tail wagging contest in 2012 and 2013.”

Frankie's lasting legacy is how many lives he touched. He was a therapy dog and would visit the children’s unit at the Broome Development Center. He also enjoyed visiting the folks at Absolut Nursing Home in Endicott, NY where he was a big hit! Frankie was just always very happy. His doggie smile was contagious, as he warmed the hearts of those he encountered.

Join us for a howling good time on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 11am-3pm at Riverfront Park in Sayre, PA. No dog, no problem! Participate in honor of your cat, in memory of your dog, or be a virtual walker! Anything to support the 500 animals entrusted to our care! For more information visit our website at www.animalcaresanctuary.org or call 570-596-2200.
