Two-Day Pipe Work Scheduled Next Week on Route 1003 (Loucks Mills Road) in Potter County

Two-Day Pipe Work Scheduled Next Week on Route 1003 (Loucks Mills Road) in Potter County
Daytime detour will be in place

Galeton – Work to replace a pipe in Potter County will require a closure on State Route 1003 (Loucks Mills Road) May 14 and 15. A section of the road about one mile north of Route 6 will be closed each day from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Work will begin once school bus traffic has moved through the area.

This two-day closure in Pike Township will feature an official PennDOT detour.
Along with Route 1003 (Loucks Mills Road), drivers will use Routes 6, 449,
1001 (Sweden Hill Road/Fox Hill Road), and 1008 (Cross Road) to get around the work zone.

The work will be performed by PennDOT Potter County Maintenance, with the detour lifted overnight. The road will be fully opened on May 15, once the pipe work is finished. All work is weather dependent.

Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, follow detour signs, and always buckle up.
