It's unbelievable that June is here and we are half way through the year, that's 182 and a 1/2days. Somebody needs to tell my body to move alittle faster, I feel like I'm getting left behind.......

I was in the Library last week and the Children's Room has a new look. So much more room and what an enjoyable view of the front walk. Rhonda tells me the library is in need of donations for their children's summer program. Last summer I helped out one day and their were about 40 kids. It's a great program. It begins June 18th. Won't you help out, the list follows: straws, colored marshmallows, box of borax, 3 big bags of baking soda, tissues and shoe boxes, empty clean water bottles, 1 bottle of dish soap, cooking oil, Alka- seltzer, skewers, vinegar, rubber bands (all sizes), cereal boxes, and 3 bags of sugar. That evening at 6:30 is a kick off party for the Adult Summer Reading Group, there are still spots available. Stop in and check it out.

Oh and I forget the WRITER'S CREW will be meeting Wednesday night the 28th at 7:00 at the Library, a great networking group for writers or those who would like to start writing.

Habitat For Humanity will be dedicating their first house in Potter County in Roulette on the 29th at 4:00. Stop in and wish them well.

The Oswayo Valley Rod N Gun Club has a change in their Hunter Safety Course they will be offering it on Saturday, July 12th at 9:00. You can register on their Facebook page, Oswayo Valley Rod and Gun Club.

I want to tell all of you how proud I am to be from this town and that you have supported and cared for so many. The turn out for the "Healing Waters Parade" was wonderful, the vets were so appreciative and remarked that the cities they live in never cared like we did. I love living in a small town!

And on that note the Wylie Family has set up an account at Citizens and Northern Bank of Coudersport account number 87758482. They are overwhelmed by the caring response of the community and needed a storage container.

Also I want to thank everyone for supporting my column and stories I write. I'm enjoying this venture into writing, as I celebrate my first year anniversary.

Well the grass needs mowed or you won't find my porch if I don't get it done. So drop in or you can reach me at 814-697-7625, or my facebook page to report information about what your organization is planning or news of the Oswayo Basin.
