CERES TOWNSHIP MEETING AGENDA 10 June 2014

Meeting called to order by Mitch Gross
***PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE***
Minutes from previous meeting of 13 May 2014 REVIEWED.
Motion Made by Mitch, 2nd by Jeff to accept as read-Yea vote.

PUBLIC COMMENT:
Complaint about cornfield not being cleaned up, issue will be addressed again with landowner.
Complaint about a health hazard next to house (sewage)
Complaint about a ditch being cleaned (Newell)
Compliment to roadmaster and crew for good job on roads

OLD BUSINESS:
Dirt and gravel class was completed.
Berming starts on the 19th – forms need to be turned in by June 16th.

NEW BUSINESS:
Permits are required for sluices that connects to Township roads, or any bridge, etc, that connects to Township roads. This includes new or replaced.
Permits are also required for pools that are 24 inches or higher, and also for decks on pools or houses.
There will be only four (4) keys issued for the Ceres Township Building. Elections were notified of point of contact.

PERMITS:
Permit obtained from Ted and Kirsten Holcomb to build an addition onto garage, no power, no water
Permit obtained from Patrick Canfield to build a shed beside his pool, no power, no water
Permit obtained by Britton and Shannon Schoonover to build storage shed, no power, no water

SUPERVISORS COMMENTS:
Just a reminder, township roads are not skid roads.
Trash days were a success – approximate cost was $1500.00. Trash days will not be mentioned in the paper next year, but will be mentioned in the minutes, and at the meetings.
Roads are being mowed and graveled.
2013 Audit is about complete (awaiting signatures)
2014 budget has been reviewed by supervisors at mid-year.
Nice letter from Newell Creek resident (Lori) read at meeting. We thank you.
Secretary will begin working 20 hours per week. Hours posted at next meeting
A special “thanks” to all of the positive comments and other comments.

ROADMASTER’S REPORT:
Three driveway pipes were replaced.
Jander Run sluice – permits and paperwork will be completed by secretary with Supervisors involvement.
Berming starts June 19th for 2 weeks
Supervisors made recommendation to make an offer on grader.
A property owner on Bradt Hollow called with concerns on road. Road will be addressed in the future. 

Bills REVIEWED. Motion by Mitch, 2nd by Jeff to pay bills.
Motion made by Gross, 2nd by Moyer to adjourn. Yea vote.
