Mary T. Praino
Mary T. Praino, 89, of Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA formerly of Washington, DC died at Penn Highlands-Elk, St. Marys, PA on Wednesday (June 18, 2014) night.

She was born January 23, 1925 in Emporium, PA a daughter of the late Antonio "Tony" and Maria Rosa “Rose” Grimone Praino.

Mary moved from Emporium to Washington DC, when she was 2 years old, with her family and moved back to Emporium in 2007.

She graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame High School in Washington, DC in 1942. She worked for over 41 years as a secretary for the US Department of Justice in Washington DC.

She was an extremely gracious & giving lady. She contributed generously to her church & in many worthwhile charities to help those in need; especially children. She loved to sing and would often burst out into her favorite love song from the 40's, which was from her repertoire when she sang for the USO (United Service Organization) in Washington. Mary also wrote songs and even published one entitled "Peggy Goes Steady". She was loved dearly by family & friends and was lovingly called "Miss Mary" by most of her neighbors. She was also known to many children for her special treats of candy/chocolate which she herself loved.

Mary attended the St. John Catholic Church in Washington and after moving back to Emporium she attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Emporium.
