PennDOT Removing Weight Restrictions On 6 Roads Upgraded By Gas Companies In Bradford & Sullivan Counties

PennDOT to remove weight restrictions on six roads in Northern Tier

PennDOT advises motorists in the northern tier that the weight restrictions will soon be removed on Route 4016 (Campbellville Road) in Sullivan County, and Route 1001 (Clapper Hill Road), Route 2006 (Hollenbeck to Sugar Hill Road), Route 2009 (Ambrosious Road), Route 3004 (Hatch Hill Street), and Route 3008 (South Avenue/Southside Road) in Bradford County because of gas-company upgrades to the roads.

The current 10-ton postings will be removed from the following:

Sullivan County:

• Campbellville Road in Elk and Forks townships from its intersection with Route 4007 to the intersection with Lambert Hill Road;

Bradford County:

• Clapper Hill Road in Tuscarora and Stevens townships from its intersection with Route 367 to the intersection with Spring Hill Road;

• Hollenbeck to Sugar Hill Road in Wilmot Township from its intersection with Route 187 to the intersection with Sugar Hill Road;

• Ambrosious Road in Wilmot Township from its intersection with Wilmot Road to its intersection with Route 187;

• Hatch Hill Street in New Albany Borough, and Albany and Overton townships from the intersection with Overton Road to the intersection with Front Street;

• South Avenue/Southside Road in Canton, Leroy and Franklin townships from the intersection with Route 154 to the intersection with Route 414.

The postings will be lifted as soon as the road-posted signs are removed.
