Potter County Farmers' Market today (Friday, June 20) In Coudersport starts at 1:00 PM

Help to welcome the arrival of summer by coming to the Potter County Farmers' Market today (Friday, June 20) beginning at 1:00 p.m. The market features locally-grown and locally-produced products. The market is located at the corner of E. Second (Rt. 6 E) and N. East Streets, adjacent to the courthouse square in Coudersport.

A sampling of some of the products offered this week include:

Alpaca Creations: All things alpaca! Hand-knit scarves, convertible and fingerless mittens, insoles, shawls, socks, hats, hand spun and hand dyed yarns by Teresa Genaux, Juried Artisan on the Pa Wilds Artisan Trail. Red Maple Sportswear Dealer.

Miles Farm Produce: Rhubarb, green onions, spinach, salad greens and eggs.

Metzger Heritage Farm: Organic red and green leafy head lettuce, carrots, fresh herbs – basil, parsley, cilantro, sage, oregano. Liimited quantity new potatoes – red, yellow, blue, white. Plus Swiss chard from Card Creek Trading Post.

New Horizons Creamery: Ice cream, yogurt, cheese.

Ross Glen Studios: Pottery, rhubarb.

Fitzgerald Family Farm: Maple products, honey, jams, jellies and preserves

McKeone Nursery: Selection of trees, shrubs, vines, plants plus selection of spring greens such as kale, lettuce, spinach.

Please note that Card Creek Trading Post will not be at the Farmers' Market this week.

In a new collaboration with Cole Memorial Hospital, an additional market day is planned at the hospital on the first and third Mondays of the month, beginning June 16. Hours there are 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. Vendors will be set up in the lobby that connects the main hospital to the Irwin Medical Arts Center.
