Think About It.......

Chuck Swindoll said, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it”. Sadly I must agree with his assessment of life. Our attitude can turn a mole hill into a mountain. We all have seen it happen in our family and friends. I'm sure that we've all heard someone say to another to loose the attitude. Perhaps you've been asked about your own attitude towards something.

We seem to live in a time where people are looking for someone to blame. Taking personal responsibility is being replaced with excuses. Ironically there are those who are making money by encouraging people who believe themselves to be wronged to sue and collect money. Sadly, victimization is a very real thing and there are true victims who deserve to be represented and helped. Unfortunately one's attitude doesn't necessarily prove something is true.

One would think that as a group, Christians would practice the best attitudes. I say that because Christians are called upon to turn the other cheek and to deny themselves and take up the cross and follow Christ. Jesus said that we're to love our neighbors and to serve others. Sadly the Christian has as much of the world in him or her as do those of the world.

There is a saying that I may not be responsible for what has happened to me but I am responsible for what I do with it. You see we have little control over what happens, but we have full control for what and how we respond. That's the point of attitude, we have the power to control it. There is real power in choice. A good attitude is just as powerful as a negative one. It is the end product that we ultimately are concerned about. The question is a simple one, how's your attitude? Do things happen to you or for you? Your attitude will affect your response. Think about it.......
