Cisco Academy Introduction to Networks

Cisco Academy Introduction to Networks

The Cisco CCENT Routing and Switching curriculum teaches comprehensive networking concepts and skills, from network applications to the protocols and services provided to those applications by the lower layers of the network. Students progress from basic networking to more complex enterprise and theoretical networking models later in the curriculum. The CCENT Routing and Switching curriculum is designed for students who are seeking entry-level jobs in the ICT industry or hope to fulfill prerequisites to pursue more specialized ICT skills.

In this course, students learn technology concepts with the support of interactive media and apply and practice this knowledge through a series of hands-on and simulated activities that reinforce learning. This is the first of two classes to prepare you for the Cisco CCENT Certification Exam.

This class is being taught by Donna Giannattasio, Network Systems Technology Instructor at Seneca Highlands CTC and will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings beginning September 9, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Potter County Education Council’s Port Allegany office. The course is scheduled to end in December; the end date is dependent on the holiday schedule. The cost is $775.00 per person. To register, visit www.pottercountyedcouncil.org or call (814) 545-1333.
