Roy F. Heimel, II, 72 of Bradford, PA formerly of Coudersport, PA

Roy F. Heimel, II, 72 of Bradford, PA formerly of Coudersport, PA passed away September 10, 2014 at UPMC Hamot, Erie, PA.

Air Force Vet

Born October 10, 1941 in Coudersport, he was the son of Roy F. and Betty Holben Heimel SR. He was married to Marjorie E. Heimel who preceded him in death January 15, 2003.

Roy was a Coudersport High School graduate. He graduated from Grove City College in the ROTC program. He had worked for 20 plus years as an Electronic Engineer in the Air Force. Roy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Coudersport and First Presbyterian Church in Bradford. One of his favorite pass times was amateur ham radio. His charity work included Habitat for Humanity and the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).

Roy is survived by his children; George (Tom Lambrinides) Heimel, NJ, Elizabeth (Karin-Heimel Heck) Heimel Heck, Harrisburg, PA and William (Suzannah) Heimel, Lilburn, GA, brother; David (Mary) Heimel, TX, nieces and nephews; John and family, Tom and family, and Anne and family, his fiancee’ Marilyn Roslinski, grandchildren, Hap, Owen and Britton Heimel.

Roy’s funeral service will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 12pm with luncheon to follow at 1pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Bradford, PA, 54 East Corydon St. Bradford, PA.

Donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Bradford MAC organ fund or Habitat for Humanity.
