FALL ADMISSIONS OPEN HOUSES PLANNED AT PITT-BRADFORD

FALL ADMISSIONS OPEN HOUSES PLANNED AT PITT-BRADFORD

BRADFORD, Pa – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Office of Admissions will host its first fall open house of the year on Saturday, Oct. 18.

The event is designed to provide prospective students and their families more detailed information about Pitt-Bradford and a chance to meet and ask questions of faculty and students.

Registration begins at 12:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Frame-Westerberg Commons, where a social hour will be held featuring faculty who are available to talk about their programs until 1 p.m.

At that time, Dr. Livingston Alexander, president, will welcome prospective students and their families in the Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall, and Dr. Mary Mulcahy, associate professor of biology, will give a presentation on college academics.

Following Mulcahy’s presentation, a student panel will speak to students and parents separately about student life on campus. Tours of campus will be given by Student Ambassadors, and Alex Nazemetz, director of admissions, will explain the admissions process.

For all those who apply, the application fee of $45 will be waived. For those unable to make the Oct. 18 open house, a second open house will be held Nov. 1.

For more information or to register for either open house, visit www.upb.pitt.edu/vist/ or call (800) 872-1787.
