WATER REPORT
Joe reported that nothing has really changed at the Wetmore stating that our #1 filter bed hasn’t been good since the project completed. The crew continues troubleshooting in an effort to discover exactly what the issue(s) could be. He presented a sample of the smudge deck to the board as he explained some of the problems he’s been dealing with at the plant.
After a lengthy discussion, the board agreed that this is an engineering/design problem. Joe motioned to send a letter to the Engineer. Motion was seconded by Tony C. All voted aye and the motion carried. A letter will be drafted for the engineer stating the Authority’s stance on the issues at the Wetmore.
(See attached Engineer’s report for more information regarding the Infiltration galleries.)

SEWER REPORT
Regarding restoration on Sherman Street from the sewer line project, it was noted that the contractor had agreed to come back in order make repairs to the property. It was not stated whether that was intended this year or next spring sometime. The board feels that the restoration is still unsatisfactory.

OLD BUSINESS
The board was notified that the Authority was turned down for grant money that was applied for under the PA Small Water and Sewer Program.
Mr. Plummer informed the board that he is proceeding with the Lombardo case and has filed paperwork for the first available hearing.

NEW BUSINESS
It was brought to the attention that there is a property on Clinton Street that has had an offer made on it for purchase through the county. There was brief discussion on options that the Authority might have to recoup some of the money owed on that specific property. No formal decision was made.
A letter was received regarding updates on the timbering in the Wetmore.

ADJOURN
Joe motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 p.m. Tony C. seconded the motion. All voted aye and the motion carried. The meeting was adjourned until the next regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 4th at 7:00 p.m. in the Borough office.
