Salvatore “Sam” Giordano, 85, of Galeton PA

Salvatore “Sam” Giordano, 85, of Galeton PA, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Broad Acres, Wellsboro, PA. 

Born July 23, 1929 in Detroit, MI, he was a son of the late Ralph and Josephine Giordano. 
US Army

Sam was a Veteran having served in the United States Army. 

He was married to the former Grace DelGrosso, who survives. 

Sam worked and retired from PennDOT as a Foreman. 

He was a member of the Galeton V.F.W. and the Galeton Moose. 

 He greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

Surviving in addition to his wife, Grace, are several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, Sam was predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters. 

Friends may call at the St. Bibiana Catholic Church, Galeton, on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 from 10:00-11:00am with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00am. The Rev. Joseph Dougherty will be the Celebrant. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. Military Honors will be accorded by the Potter County Honor Guard. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Galeton.

Sammy was such a nice guy, the last time I stopped to see him he was so worried about his Gracie, She had just went into Broad Acres.
We always had nice chats about fishing and gardening, Sam sure loved his garden. Sam always mentioned how good friends he and Gracie were good friends with my parents... and how he missed them. Well now Sammy you will be the one everyone will miss.
