Betty Levenia Johnson, 86, of 3377 Route 646, Gifford, PA, passed away, Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at her residence.

Born February 7, 1928, in Dallas, TX, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Dixon) Balon.

On October 5, 1946 in the Cyclone Community Church she married Richard L. Johnson, who died on June 19, 2002.

Mrs. Johnson was a graduate of Bradford High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bradford for 68 years. Betty was doing what she loved and enjoyed. She was very active with the Gifford Fair Committee, Hilltop 4-H, Penn State Home Extension Office, Smethport Senior Center, currently President of the Smethport Chapter of AARP, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was best known for her generosity, love of flowers, her flower arrangements and sewing American Girl doll clothes.

Surviving are two daughters, two daughters, Sharon Pollock (husband Steve), of Toms River NJ and Sandra Greco (husband Richard) of Contoocook NH, four granddaughters Jennifer Keelen (husband Matthew), Laura Welch (husband Jessie), Cassandra Greco and Samantha Greco, three great grandchildren Riley Keelen, Madison Keelen and Lyanna Welch, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Virginia Lasher and a grandson.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, November 10, 2014, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 372 East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, with Pastor Jeremy Childs, of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
