Coudersport Area Reader Just Wants Cat Back

Letter to the Editor
Coudersport Area Reader Just Wants Cat Back

Dear Jim,

We have been missing our cat for a couple of months.

She is a feral cat named "Callie. We raised her with one of her brothers two years ago. We had her spayed and have fed and cared for her all this time. She is loved and missed by our family and friends,(not to mention her brother) who looks for her daily. We gave her regular veterinary care
and she needs regular medical care.

We have searched and searched and were giving up hope, when we started to hear that someone had taken her and was keeping her. We were shocked that some one would do this, especially when children are involved.

We know the person who has her and where they live. I am shocked that people would teach their children that if you want something just take it, no matter who it belongs to.

I am not a person who wants to deny a child a pet,but I have seen ad after ad looking for homes for nice cats and kittens. There really is no reason to steal a cat from someone. We are hoping that the people in question will return "Callie". They know who we are and where we live
also!

I hope that you can post this. We just want our cat returned. Thank you Jim.

Wait a few days for them to return your cat. If not, file a civil law suit against them. Make them pay for taking your cat. Legal fees will out way the cost of adopting an animal.

whos to say a fox or something didnt get it just because you dont see them dont mean there not. and as far for that keep them on your property not let them run an piss all over the neighborhood. i pay for dog license and rabies shots for a dog but cat owners dont pay for licensing thats bull crap !!

I know what your going through, I went through about 3 months ago, my cat got out and we looked for her for a week only to find her at my neighbors house who claimed her and went so far as to have her de clawed, when I told her I wanted my cat back she thru a fit so I didn't get my cat back, actually it belonged to my 2 year old grand daughter, my advise to you is if you have proof of who has your cat and you prove that it your cat call the police and explain the situation to them and they should be able to help you. Good Luck and I hope you get your furry friend back

4:59 That wasn't very nice. true or not you didn't have to say it the way you did.

Unless the cat has a microchip that will prove it is your cat, you cannot sue or take legal action against the people. Cats are considered property only if you can prove that it is truly your cat.
