Duane A. Cole, 80, of Cedar Run, PA

Duane A. Cole, 80, of Cedar Run, PA, died on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at The Green Home in Wellsboro. 

Korean War Veteran
He was the husband of Barbara (Teed) Cole who preceded him in death, July 20, 1998. Duane was born July 15, 1934 in Stony Fork, the son of the late Raymond and Velma (Covert) Cole.

 He was a US Navy veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. 

Duane was a sheet metal worker for Corning Glass, Erwin, NY. He also worked for the PA Game Commission, many years ago. 

Duane was a member of the VFW, Legion and the Moose. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his two daughters, Sue Bencus (Sandy), Cedar Run and Lori Klaiber (Tim), Mercer, PA; four sisters, Joyce, Lois, Rita and Marge. Three grandchildren, Jeremy Bencus, Kyle Klaiber and Deidre Conlon and two great- grandchildren. 


In addition to his wife and parents, Duane was preceded in death by a son, Donald Cole in 1978; two brothers, Burdette and Jack Cole and a sister, Mary.

Friends and family are invited to Duane’s Life Celebration on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home,” 139 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Funeral service, Tuesday, November 11, 2014, 1:00 PM at funeral home with Pastor Gary Messinger officiating. Interment in Oregon Hill Cemetery.
