Marion H. Freeman, 95, of 67 Oxford Street, Bradford, PA

Marion H. Freeman, a kind, loving mother and grandmother, 95, of 67 Oxford Street, Bradford, PA, passed away, Friday, November 28, 2014 at Bradford Ecumenical Home.

Born October 13, 1919 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Ross William and Lovice (Bard) Hosack. She was a 1937 graduate of Bradford High School.

On May 17, 1941 in Bradford she married Kenneth W. Freeman, who died on March 12, 2009.

Marion was formerly employed at Dresser Manufacturing Company, Bell Telephone Company, Hounds and Hunting and retired from Corning Glass after 22 years, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she served as Deacon, the Hand Bell Choir, and Prayer Chain. She liked to square dance and was a member of the Hicks & Chicks, she and her husband danced at the World’s Fair in New York City. She was a member of many Bridge Clubs and the Current Events Club.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda C. Freeman, of Bradford, and Margery J. Anderson of Raleigh NC, one son, Bruce K. Freeman, of Bradford, 3 grandchildren, Gary B. Freeman, Christina Martinez, Heather Brown, 5 great grandchildren, Katelin, Elora, Raeley, Xavery, and Ezekiel, and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Tom H. Freeman and one sister Gail Stull.

Family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes 372 East Main St. and again on Tuesday, from 10:00am to 11:00am in the First Presbyterian Church at which time funeral and committal services will be held with Katherine Randall co-pastor, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
