“Terrific Turkeys” Homeschool Day at Sinnemahoning State Park

Sinnemahoning – The North American turkey has been playing a vital role in the natural world long before making its way to the dinner table each Thanksgiving.

Wednesday, November 19th from 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM Sinnemahoning will be hosting a field learning opportunity for homeschool students. Participants will explore the adaptations, communication and history of the turkey through a variety of fun and engaging demonstrations and activities. Program is appropriate for grade levels K-12.

Pre-registration is required for this free field learning opportunity. To register your child, please contact Jess Bierly at the Sinnemahoning State Park office (814) 647-8401 EXT. 105 or email Program size is limited so registering early is encouraged. Deadline to register is November 14th.

If you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
