Think About It

Opinions

It seems that everyone has an opinion about something, even if they don't know anything about the subject. I've often wondered how any one person can have so many opinions about so many different subjects and feel that their opinion is the only right one. Am I missing something?

Sometimes your opinion will get you into trouble. If you don't believe me look at the news reports where people have been beat up at a sporting event or someone was killed in a road rage incident. To defend one's opinion, some have resorted to violence. I have to wonder if it's all worth it, being right that is.

There are things in this world that we need to stand for, but I don't think that opinions are one of them. Opinions change, sometimes as we get older, and sometimes because we get smarter. I've learned that there are something’s that I'd die for, but others I wouldn't. It's not that I don't have opinions about things, it just that I've learned in the scope of eternity they're only opinions and they don't matter. In my correctness I can do a lot of damage in the lives of others and in the Kingdom of God. In thinking that I’m right I can actually turn people away from the very thing I want them to believe. When only my opinion matters, I have no time for the opinion of others.

Your world and mine is being bombarded with opinion. We call it news, but in many cases it's opinion spun into news. Want to know what to believe? Be careful, what you hold to be true may in fact only be the compiled opinions of a view whose agenda has more to do with them then it does with you.

The Bible is one of those things that people have staked their lives upon. For them it wasn't opinion, it was truth. Would you die for your opinion, if you wouldn't then why push it upon others? Think about it.

My problem is I can't seem to keep my mouth shut. I Pray about it and say to myself, "next time I'm going to," and I still do it.

On opinions ,I have but one BIG-BIG question? Pastor if I came to you with a personal problem about any subject say marriage ,would you pull out the Bible, and read me a verse as the truth but in your own opinion, as to what that verse means ,give me an answer to my question? In my way of thinking, you have opinions and you base them on what the Bible tells you. Am I incorrect as to believing this idea ? Enough Said, Fred's dead Keep up the good words but do not be afraid to ID yourself . THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO ME. MORE PASTORS SHOULD EXPRESS THEIR THOUGHTS ON THE BIBLE.

I thought this was a review of that hanus Foxx News Channel where they put on blinders when it comes to facts or other people's prospectives and just blab on with simple minded palatter. Hanus is too kind of a word for actually.
