first of all it shouldn't have been left there, and your crying over a $98 stand.

What does it matter how much it
cost? Theft is theft. There
should be a code of ethics with
hunters, leave others things
alone. Go out and buy your own,
or stay out of the freakin' woods!

I was given a citation several years back for leaving my tree stand on a tree in the national forest. They treated it as a littering fine. It did zero damage to the tree. Total BS. But it is public land nothing is safe there.

How would you like it if it was your stand?

you shouldn't be using tree damaging tree stands in the national forest. use them on your own trees. I beat he don't leave stuff where he ain't supposed to again. lesson learned

Whoever stole this stand is a piece if dirt. However, tree stands should be illegal. Now this so called hunter will have to hunt from the ground like real hunters, Im sure it will be much harder but much more rewarding if he gets a deer.
