If a kid or adult is ale to get away with something like his, they will try something for evil or dangerous. They may try shoplifting, stealing a car or worse. Who knows, they may even some day become President of this hell hole of a country.

Comparing a pumpkin to a truck? You do realize that Cinderella was just a fairy tale, correct?

I think the Police have MUCH more important things to take care of. I can't imagine calling that one in!! It's Halloween (trick)!! Happens EVERY year!! Now if there truck had damage by the pumpkin, that's a different story. However, where does it mention a truck???

Years ago I hoped they would take our pumpkins Halloween night!

I would have fined the victim for the gas money it took to drive there and fill out the report.

Really ? "Pumpkins" It's Halloween for gods sake. What a waste of paper and gas.

Taking or smashing someone's pumpkins on Halloween night is almost expected. It's just a stupid pumpkin that you paid $1.00 for but how much tax money was spent calling troopers in?

To all who belittle this incident..how would you feel if someone came onto your property and stomped your flowers or garden ? Austin has some bad parents who actually encourage this type of behavior. I'm glad I moved out of that town years ago !

This is really stupid. It's just pumpkins. It's a given on Halloween that they get smashed. I'd rather they smash them then having to dispose of them later. And kids have a good time smashing them. At least they are outside doing something then sitting inside playing video games. I encourage them too do this!!!

Really? I would be embarrased to put this out.

The truth about this whole issue is, everyone who commented on this story thinking it was a joke doesn't know the truth behind the story. The "sweet little delinquents" who committed this CRIME are not as "unknown" as this suggests, they are very much known. The parents absolutely do not do as they should and correct as they should, and think that this type of behavior is fine. One fact of the matter is, those that are at fault need to be reeled in and not let get away with all that they do!!! This was not done after Halloween was over, it was done as Trick or Treaters were still visiting. It was done maliciously, not as "Halloween fun" as some suggested. This is about so much more than pumpkins. Which to note were not the run of the mill "few dollars and change" pumpkins, but were large more expensive ones. Perhaps better and stricter parenting would prevent this in the future, as if that will actually happen.
