Keith Fortner photo
Lanny Nunn reports over 300 people crowded into the Port Allegany town square tonight as Port Allegany kicked off the Christmas season with their first "Christmas on the Square". Lanny says they had pony rides, hay rides, Santa Klaus, Christmas carols and 2 fires for people to warm up. It was an amazing turnout!!

my family & i really enjoyed this DAY/NIGHT out on the square. i would like to say, that this was nice to enjoy for the 1st time this year. the only thing that was wrong with it was NO OTHER LIGHTS YOU COULDN'T REALLY SEE ANYTHING THAT WAS GOING ON.......EVERYONE WAS IN ONE BIG GROUP.

I do not like to complain but more lighting would have been nice to have been able to see what the vendors were all selling, enjoyed the whole night, it was great! also watching little ones filling out prayer requests at the nativity scene, a little mail box was set up for prayer requests, touched my heart, great idea, Peg & Bunk you both are commended for a beautiful job you did on the nativity
