Coudersport Tire Slashings

Coudersport Tire Slashings

This morning, an estimate of 15 local families woke to find vehicle tires that had been slashed and punctured by vandals.

This is unbelievable and inexcusable.

Police were very quick to respond, along with local tire and garage companies that interrupted their business day to help change and repair the tires.

Thank you to all who were helpful.

If you have any knowledge of these crimes, please call the local police at 274-8970. We need to be a watchful and united community to deal with this.

Mary Pepper

What part of town did this happen in?

I hope that those responsible are prosecuted to the full extent of the law and restitution is made to all who have suffered financial loss. I have a relative who discovered she had two tires slashed when she attempted to drive to work early this morning. She is a single parent struggling to make enough money to pay her bills. Those responsible for such a selfish, illegal act have no idea how much devastation this creates for people who are barely making ends meet!!!

We are on Allegany Ave., some on Southeast St., and I'm not sure where else.

Suck it up sheeple......shit happens....how come nobody is on here spouting out about prayers and what not?

Hey, Skip. This "sh*t" didn't just happen. Some a$$holes made it happen. Sounds like it could've been you, or someone very much like you. Quit being such a jagoff.

Anonymous said...

Skip Toomalu, My Darling it sounds as if YOU did it or know who did.

How much of an a$$ are you to just want to brush it off? If you did not do this or know who did, would you be feeling the same way?

Like the person(s) mentioned above, if we let the small stuff go it won't be long til something major happens.

Keep an eye out for your neighbors, the community and our country.

Look past the end of your noses you bigots!! Bigger things are happening all around you. You sit there on your high horses worrying about a few tires while your kids run around buying and selling heroine, meth, and bath salts. Maybe you need to look in your own homes for the guilty ones? Don't like the truth? Kiss it right on the hindsite....

Maybe it was someone who had a surplus of tires to get rid of before the year ends...

Tire slashing is hanus don't get me wrong. But we have other serious and sometimes hanus things to worry about too. A bunch of feckless oafs out cutting tires is probably some juvenile delinquents who need to get their arses kicked, okay?

The families should get together and offer a reward for information that would lead to an arrest. Then hope it gets someone to squeal.

Coudersport needs an Anti-Slashing Task Force. I nominate #IrvDuell

Hey Skippy how about you put your address on here and let's see how you would like to spend 600 to 1000 dollars for tires you don't have.

Anonymous said...

We ll catch the individuals or individual who did this just as we found the individuals that vandalized and stole our flags.

Anonymous said...

Is it Coudersport? Or Poutersport?

Hey Anonymous wanna be grammar cop. That post wasn't done by me, but the word is actually spelled heinous....

And to the nosy person...my address is 102 E. 2nd St Coudersport,PA....don't worry...I have a spare...

I just went to Skip's address. I was denied entry and no one had ever heard of him. Huh? What a dildine.

Nice you live at the potter county jail. Incase most of you didn't know 102 E 2nd st if the jail. I guess Skip knows the people who did it.

I am shocked by all the rude comments about this crime. Are people seriously making fun of the victims an telling them to 'suck it up" and stop pouting. Additionally, Jackson you should be ashamed about insulting Irvin. I like to think that Coudersport is community where we look out for our neighbors. I commend Mary Pepper for posting this and am saddened that the comments have become such a mockery.

This is a big deal. Brushing off small things over time and hand slapping have lead to this and over time even harsher and possibly deadlier problems may very well occur.

Those tire slashing have caused a ripple effect for those involved today. How many families were denied the basics because they had to use the money for tires? How many had their insurance premiums rise for filing a claim? How many had a boss who denied the excuse and docked pay or even written them up for being late or missing work? Were there children involved and did this cause a child to miss school because their parent drives them there and therefore lost out on a perfect attendance?

I hope they catch these cowards and i feel sorry for the owners of the vehicles but wake up coudy , people have to think this is not the 70's ,crap like this happens all the time specially when 75% of the town is on walfare because they make more money on it then getting a job,and not getting drug tested! where was robocop Gross and the gang ?

I had two tires slashed about 25yrs ago. Lost a days pay because I worked shift. By the time I could get them fixed my shift was about over. I was fortunate that the tire dealer covered them under road hazard, but I still lost my days pay. I was really pissed. About five years later a young man with his sponsor knocked on my door completing whatever step it is to pay restitution. Tires were a lot cheaper back then. He offered to pay, and I let him off the hook. I did stupid shit when I was young. Never anything that bad, but still let him go. Glad he was on the road (hopefully) to recovery.

Anyway it sucks when this happens, and hopefully the person or persons involved will come clean.

First off you big dill dine how can you expect one police officer to be in 400 places at once 24/7?
Lets' quit pointing fingers and zero in on the hanus behavior and find out who should be held responsible. Somebody needs to be held accountable and sooner rather than lather!!!!!

You people need to pull your craiums out of the over tight rectal cavities that they are in and maybe take a look in the mirror if you are parents. Where were your kids last night? Maybe the responsibility resides at home with how the parents are raising their children???? You are all acting like a bunch of feckless dildines when you should be acting like boy scouts....their motto is "be prepared"....

The Eldred police mail out tickets just because somebody claims speeding and careless driving!! Call them....u can pick anyone and have them charged!!! Oh yeah and no proof required!!!

Anonymous said...

All above comments really make you all seem, well never mind I would be just the same as you if I told you how bad you all sound. Not a very nice thing to do to a lot of innocent people. Money is scarce especially at this time of year and to miss work on top of that. Now to have to purchase tires. Too bad.

Anonymous said...

400 places!!! they can be in 400 meters around lunch time giving out tickets!!! get real here , enough of the same old same old nonsense in this town , how about start investing on things for kids to do instead of new fancy cop cars for them to be sleeping on the side streets or parked chatting with the good old boys for hours with the car running wasting our money in gas , wake up Coudy ,look around and see the mess where this beautiful town is heading ....

On a further note, I still haven't figured out why the Coudersport Borough needs to have a $70,000 4 door truck to patrol the town......anyone......Beuhler?

Just throwing this out there, but it is possible, and pretty simple, for the owner of the blog to track IP's from people who post on this blog. Anonymous or not. Might help in aiding the authorities in pinpointing persons of interest.

ANYTHING you do can be monitored or recorded. About the only thing is your thoughts, but that is just a matter of time.

The only person that knows more about you than the government is GOD.

Some of these comments make me embarrassed to say I live here. Crimes have been committed and perpetrators need to be apprehended and brought to justice. Victims have suffered needlessly. That is what this is all about, no more and no less. Some of those leaving bizarre and insulting comments need to get a clue, be quiet, and not publicly demonstrate their ignorance.

many years ago kids cut my truck tires cost 300 to 400 dollars per tire I set a trap I not telling what happen, they will not ever do again . So who ever did that tire cutting watch out you end up with ?? you don't want

Easy Solution: Place a curfew from dusk to dawn unless with parent. Then when these young people are not allowed to do evening events by themselves, maybe they will speak out against those who have ruined their nightly activities and events.
Early years when a group did something wrong, and no one admitted to doing it, they all got punished. Soon someone will speak out.
