This morning just as the members of the 44 House were getting home and crawling into bed, at 02:45 Station 44 was dispatched mutual aid to the scene of a Fully Involved Structure Fire in Grove Township, Sinnemahoning at the Lakeview Hotel. Cameron Company 14 was also dispatched full company to the scene. Chief 44-10 requested a dispatch of Coudersport Dept. 48 with one engine to the scene, and one engine to stand by at our station.

Chief 44 (C.Cooney), Chief 44-10 (J.Burgett), Chief 44-20 (N.Burgett), Chief 44-30 (B.Brooks), and Chief 44-60 (T.Orlowski) responded. Engine 44-2, Tanker 44-5, Rescue 44-8 and Ambulance 44-6 responded within minutes.

On scene crews went to work assisting with manpower, and water supply. Engine and Rescue Crews assisted with an aggressive interior and exterior attack. Tanker crew assisted with water supply making a total of 9 shuttles. Sinnemahoning and Austin Ambulance Crews went to work rehabbing fireman. Crews from Austin, Sinnemahoning, Emporium and Coudersport fought fire for quite some time. Fire was called under control, crews assisted with overhaul and remained on scene until released by command. All Dept 44 units returned and were back in quarters just before 7 am.

Great Job and Great Teamwork to all involved in both incidents. Thanks goes out to all departments and responders, to our company and Station 48 for providing hot meals, and Cameron Company 14 and Station 48 for standing by while we were out!

It was one of the few places to stay down there - DUH!

Yes, visitors coming to the Pennsylvania Wilds for attractions like the wildlife center may like a close Motel room to say in! Especially in the winter months when the campground is closed.

I hope they rebuild !

Bob and I are just sick to hear this terrible news. Mike and Dottie put so much hard work into making this a success. Our prayers go out to them.
