Introduction to Networks

This Cisco CCENT Routing and Switching curriculum teaches comprehensive networking concepts and skills, from network applications to the protocols and services provided to those applications by the lower layers of the network. Students will progress from basic networking to more complex enterprise and theoretical networking models later in the curriculum. The CCENT Routing and Switching curriculum is designed for students who are seeking entry-level jobs in the ICT industry or hope to fulfill prerequisites to pursue more specialized ICT skills. In this course, students learn technology concepts with the support of interactive media and apply and practice this knowledge through a series of hands-on and simulated activities that reinforce learning.

This course is taught by Donna Giannattasio, Network Systems Technology Instructor at the Seneca Highlands CTC and is being held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. from February 10 to May 7, 2015 at the Education Council’s Port Allegany office. The cost is $775 per person and registration is required. To register, call (814) 545-1333 or visit www.pottercountyedcouncil.org.

Do you get any sort of Certification from this program?? $775 is pretty steep if it's a "just to learn more.." type class.

The Certification requires the candidate to pass a test. You need to ask if the cost of the test is included in the course fees.
