Larry G. Holzwarth, 77, of Avon, FL, formerly of 12 Brookside Drive Bradford, PA, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014, while in the company of his daughter Karen, at The Palms at Sebring FL.

Born September 9, 1937 in Bradford, he was a son of the late Andrew C. and Margaret A. (Disney) Holzwarth. He was a 1955 graduate of Bradford High School.

US Army Veteran
On April 7, 1962 in English, IN he married Betty Jane (Miller) Holzwarth who died on November 8, 2006.

He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Knox, KY.

Larry was employed as Vice President of Sales at KOA Speer. He spent three years with his family running sales over seas in Singapore. He retired in April of 1998 after 35 years of service.

He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Pennhills Club, Pine Crest Golf Club of Sebring, FL and the Bradford Club. He was a 36 year member of Bradford Union Lodge #749 F&AM.

Along with golf, he was an avid softball player for over 30 years and would love a friendly but aggressive basketball game. For many years, he was involved with coaching his son's football or baseball team. There wasn't a weekend you wouldn't find him in his easy chair watching 2 or 3 TV sets full of sporting events.

Surviving is one daughter, Karen J. Holzwarth, of Monson, MA, two grandchildren Matthew Styron and Andrea Styron, one brother, Roy Holzwarth of Wilmington, NC and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Holzwarth on January 17, 2014, a son, Kevin Holzwarth on April 5, 2003 and a brother, Robert Holzwart, whom he loved dearly.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
