Margaret C. Etner, 96, of Wellsboro, PA

Margaret C. Etner, 96, of Wellsboro, PA died on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at The Green Home. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles K. Etner; Waldo E. Shumway and Robert C. Scase. Margaret was born May 31, 1918 in Castanea, PA, the daughter of the late Charles L. and Helen K. (Peters) Campman.

In addition to graduating from high school, Margaret was a graduate of Lycoming Seminary. She was employed for 30 years at the Citizens and Northern Bank, completing her career there as an auditor. Margaret was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Wellsboro. She also belonged to the Eastern Star and was a member of Business and Professional Women’s Organization. Margaret belonged to a local sewing club and bridge club, she also enjoyed traveling.

Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara S. and Ronald D. Weller, Wellsboro; three beloved grandchildren, David B. Weller (Janet), Calverton, NY; Michael T. Weller (Desiree) Middlebury; Bradley J. Weller (Tracy), Minneapolis MN; four great-grandchildren, Brooke, Blake, Joseph and Eva; sister, Martha Close, Wellsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her three husbands, and parents, Margaret was preceded in death by four brothers, Charles, Arthur, Frederick and David Campman and her sister, Helen Campman.

There will be no visitation, a memorial service will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015, 11:00 AM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pearl St., Wellsboro, PA, with the Rev. Canon Gregory P. Hinton officiating. Inurnment at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Margaret’s name to The Shared Home, 27 Bacon St., Wellsboro, Pa 16901. Local arrangements by Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, “A Life Celebration Home”, 139 Main St. Wellsboro, PA.
